Blessed Virgin of Noli Me Tollere, May 26. The festival is partly rural and partly town. It celebrates the miraculous statue that, according to folk tradition, disappeared from a church where it was placed in the town center, to reappear in the place where stands today the chapel dedicated to the Virgin. Under the feet of the statue, when it was found, in a marble stone was written "Noli Me Tollere” (Don’t move me). In 2008 was the eighth centenary of the apparition.
San Pantaleo, July 27. Patron of the country, is celebrated with dancing in the square and sporting events.
Goblets of Stars: August 10. Event of wine tasting and local products in various parts of the town; Sorso indeed has a winery and thanks to its products entered into the list of main city of wine.
Moreover during the year are organized theater performances, dances, exhibitions, music, fashion shows, cultural events, sports competitions. |
